Aviation Management Major
The aviation management option is well-suited for the student who wants to combine his or her interest in aviation with a solid background and experience in business studies. Some of our aviation management students decide to also earn pilot ratings so they can fly; others decide to focus completely on the business aspects of aviation.
Aviation Management Program Goals
2. Understand the role of human factors in aviation resource management. 3. Demonstrate an understanding of the air transportation industry to include airline operations, marketing, aircraft performance and economic factors. 4. Demonstrate proficiency in aviation professional issues such as: professional standards, safety, ethics, and career development. 5. Develop an understanding and appreciation for the history of aviation and its key contributions to society in our national political and economic structure. |

Our aviation management curriculum is heavily integrated with business classes in law, finance, management, and marketing, and also features specialized courses in aviation law, operations, and management. Students graduating with the aviation management major are prepared for many different types of positions in the aerospace industry.2.gif)
