About NIFA

The Westminster College Flight Team is made up of flight students and instructors who devote much of

their time practicing for the annual NIFA (National Intercollegiate Flying Association) competitions.

The regional competition, which is held every Fall, brings together flight schools from Utah, Colorado, and Montana to compete in a variety of flying and ground e

vents such as landings, flight planning, and aircraft recognition.

The top teams from every region around the country are invited to compete in the National Competition that is held every spring at various locations around the country.

Participation in NIFA promotes

professionalism, exacting standards, and friendly competition among collegiate pilots. The competitions are not only a forum

for competitions between schools but also provides scholarship and networking opportunities recognition for our top flight students.
