The aviation simulation and testing center is located in the lower level of the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business. We are a LaserGrade testing site and administer FAA written exams, CLEP tests, TSA screening tests, and college make-up exams.

Please call to schedule all testing appointments to ensure that we have a procotor available to administer your test.

 Fall Operating Hours (August 26, 2009 to December 17, 2009)

  • Mondays 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Tuesdays 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Thursdays 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Fridays 8:30 a.m. 2:00 p.m.
  • Saturdays 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Closed Sundays

 

Flight Training Devices

Flight training devices in the Aviation Simulation & Testing Center include a newly-upgraded Frasca 142, with wraparound visuals, a Frasca 141, a glass-cockpit jet trainer, an MFD (Modular Flight Deck), and several PCATDs. These resources are also available to the public on a limited basis. (Call 801-832-2672 to inquire about availability).

Interview Prep

If you have been called in for an interview with a regional airline, we can help prepare you for the simulation portion of the interview. Call for billing rates and resource availablity.

Software Resources for Students

Software resources available to our flight students include Gleim Test prep software (to prepare students for their FAA written tests) and Pilot Communications Training for the IFR and VFR environment.

Small classes.  Big deal!  With an average class size of 17, you are a big deal to your professors.
